Below you will find an explanation of each of the buttons which can be found to the left of the majority of pages in the DiabetesNet.   A textual representation of each button can be found at the bottom of each page.   Any underlined term can be clicked in order to go to the page which is referenced.

You may notice that the buttons are split up into four sections.  The top two buttons are:

  • Welcome  DiabetesNet Home Page

  • Index Graphic Table of Contents

The second section contains the information buttons:

  • Bulletins Has the newest information available on the DiabetesNet.  It's worth your time to check out the What's New! section regularly.

  • D-Manual  The Scott & White Diabetes Center's own Diabetes Education Manual, now available online.

  • Dictionary  A large number of diabetes terms arranged alphabetically to help you know exactly what your healthcare team is talking about.

  • Lifestyles  A number of articles on everyday life with diabetes.

  • Manage  Articles which will help you manage your own life better with diabetes.

  • Medical  Articles and information on medications, and taking care of yourself.

  • Recipes  A wide selection of recipes appropriate for the diabetic diet.

The third section contains the communication support buttons for Phase 2:

  • D-Line Phase 2--Will be a bulletin board/chat function.

  • Support Phase 2--Will allow Scott & White clients direct contact with healthcare team members.

The fourth and final section contains the assistance buttons for your help and your input:

  • Comment  Allows you to address issues (or compliments!) you have that you would like to bring up.

  • Help  Gives you an address to contact the Webmaster for this site.

  • Navigation  Brought you to this page
